Halifax Search & Rescue Centre
In March 2010 Homebuilders Care celebrated another successful project with the opening of a new three-bay garage built for the Halifax Regional Search and Rescue. The result of this project will allow the Search and Rescue to park all of their vehicles in one location, speeding up response time in case their services are required, which can often make a world of difference in many emergency situations.
“We have done a number of great projects over the years, but this one is especially important to us,” says Paul Pettipas, NSHba chief executive officer. “The Halifax Search and Rescue team are a dedicated group of volunteers and they provide an amazing service not only to our area, but across the province when their services are required. We couldn’t have picked a better group of people to work with.”
The Halifax Regional Search and Rescue provides an invaluable service to the local community. Their hard work and dedication have saved lives in this region since 1969, and they continue to provide exemplary service to the Halifax Regional Municipality.
On March 9, 2010 this service was rewarded as dozens of Search and Rescue volunteers joined with dedicated members of the NSHBA to share in the excitement as the new three-bay garage officially opened
