The Real Home Show 2010
The Real Home Show 2010 was a great success as more than 120 exhibitors came out to share their products and services with 13,500 in attendance.
The Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association (NSHBA) was inspired by the green initiatives popping up among so many of our members. For the fourth year in a row, The Real Home Show 2010 featured a “Cleaner Greener Building” which housed many of our exhibitors dedicated to cleaning the environment with new green technologies. What’s more, as visitors wandered through the aisles of exhibitors, signs were proudly displayed in dozens of booths declaring, “Ask me how I’m green,” inviting candid conversation about how members and friends have been doing their part to help create a cleaner, greener Nova Scotia.
The Real Home Show 2010 also included a new and exciting contest, giving visitors a chance to win $1 Million. Everyone had a free ticket to play the game of chance which involved entering seven random digits into a machine for the chance to win. While no one managed to crack the code, the million dollar contest was a huge success, with thousands of people participating for a chance to win.
Throughout Home Show weekend, visitors also enjoyed numerous seminars held by NSHBA members and supporters. The wide range of topics included energy efficient building practices, technology in the home featuring the TechReady program, making your home a cleaner, greener environment for you and your family and new trends in home décor, to name just a few.
While The Real Home Show is over for this year, plans have already begun for The Real Home Show 2011, which will take place March 4, 5 and 6, 2011 at the Halifax Forum, so mark your calendars so you will not miss out.
