I have the option to purchase a 2 acre country lot. I can either purchase the land and then build or purchase the same lot from the builder as a turn key solution. Assuming I build the same house either way, which is cheaper?

You have two options here and two prices to compare.
First option: Ask the builder what is his price to build the house you want on the basis of you purchasing the land first.
Second option;What is your price on this same house if I buy the house and lot at the same time.This would mean you close on the lot when the home is completed,thus a turnkey price.
